Glock 31 & Glock 31C — High-Velocity .357 SIG Duty Pistols

Glock 31 Engineered around the flat-shooting .357 SIG cartridge, Glock’s 31 series delivers magnum-level muzzle energy in the familiar full-size Glock platform. The standard Glock 31 provides uncompromising stopping power with its 15-round magazine, while the factory-port-cut Glock 31C vents propellant gases upward to tame muzzle rise for even faster follow-up shots. Both models share the proven Safe Action® triple-safety system and a lightweight polymer frame that resists corrosion and shrugs off daily duty abuse.

Key Features

  • Hard-Hitting .357 SIG Chambering – Flatter trajectory and higher velocity than .40 S&W or 9 mm, ideal for barrier penetration and extended-range accuracy.

  • 15-Round Standard Magazine – Optional 10- or 17-round mags adapt the pistol for service, competition or capacity-restricted jurisdictions.

  • Safe Action® Triple-Safety System – Trigger, firing-pin and drop safeties provide consistent, lever-free security in every carry condition.

  • 31 C Compensator Ports – Twin slide-and-barrel cuts on the 31C vent gas upward, reducing muzzle flip and keeping sights flat under rapid fire.

  • Duty-Ready Ergonomics – 186 mm overall length, 30 mm slim slide and aggressive grip texture ensure confident control with gloves or wet hands.

Description

Technical Highlights

Overall length is 186 mm (7.32 in) with a 114 mm cold-hammer-forged barrel. Height measures 138 mm (5.43 in) and overall width 30 mm—identical for both models—while sight radius stretches to 165 mm on the 31 and 171 mm on the ported 31 C. A right-hand, hexagonal bore (406 mm twist) stabilises .357 projectiles, and unloaded weight is roughly 660 g for the 31 and 655 g for the 31 C. Add an empty mag (78 g) or a full 15-round mag (≈ 280 g) to reach duty weight. Typical trigger pull remains 2.5 kg (5.5 lb) with 12.5 mm of travel on both variants.

Operational Applications

  • Law-Enforcement & Security Duty – .357 SIG energy delivers decisive penetration against intermediate barriers while retaining Glock reliability.

  • Personal & Home Defence – Magnum-level performance in a controllable, full-size sidearm; 31 C’s ports further mitigate recoil.

  • Tactical & Low-Light Operations – MIL-STD accessory rail accepts white lights or lasers; compensated 31 C keeps the dot steady under NVGs.

  • Practical Shooting Sports – Flat trajectory and major power factor make either model a strong choice for IPSC/USPSA Limited divisions.

Power Meets Control

Whether you choose the standard Glock 31 for maximum velocity or the ported Glock 31C for enhanced recoil management, the 31 series unites high-energy .357 SIG ballistics with Glock’s minimalist maintenance and duty-ready durability—so you stay in command when precision and stopping power matter most.
